2-4 Brake
CONSTRUCTIONThe 2-4 brake consists of a 2-4 brake piston retainer, 2-4 brake piston, return spring, pressure plate, drive plates, driven plates, and a snap ring that fits in a housing formed in the transmission case.
This brake is engaged by the hydraulic pressure from the control valve and locks the front sun gear when the 2nd or 4th gear is selected.
