Throttle Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Checking Throttle Position Sensor:

Throttle Position Sensor Specification:

1. Disconnect negative cable at battery.

2. Remove air cleaner assembly.

3. Disconnect coupler from TPS.

4. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals under each condition given in table.

If idle switch check result is not satisfactory, adjust installation angle of TPS and if found defective in the other check, replace TPS.

5. Connect TPS coupler securely.

6. Install air cleaner assembly.

7. Connect battery negative cable to battery.
