Fuel Filter: Description and Operation
The
fuel filter is installed on the chassis frame and
filters the fuel sent under pressure from the fuel pump.
As it can't be disassembled, it should be replaced as an assembly. Note that letters indicating the fuel inlet and outlet ports are stamped on the
fuel filter. Refer to them for proper hose connection.
