Heated Oxygen Sensor 2

Removal

WARNING:
To avoid danger of being burned, do not touch exhaust system when system is hot. Oxygen sensor removal should be performed when system is cool.


1) Disconnect negative cable from battery.
2) Remove driver's seat.





3) Remove front left side sill scuff and turn over floor carpet.
4) Disconnect coupler of oxygen sensor.
5) Remove oxygen sensor from exhaust No. 2 pipe.

NOTE: Be careful not to expose it to excessive shock.

Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following.





- Tighten oxygen sensor to specified torque.

Tightening Torque
(a): 43 Nm (4.3 kg-m, 31.5 lb-ft)


- Connect coupler of oxygen sensor and clamp wire harness securely.
- After installing oxygen sensor, start engine and check that no exhaust gas leakage exists.
