Impact Sensor: Testing and Inspection

CAUTION: Never disassemble forward (discriminating) sensor. Sensor should be replaced when it was dropped from a height of 91.4 cm (3 ft) or more.

1. Check sensor and its bracket for dents, cracks, deformation or rust.
2. Check sensor connector or lock mechanism for damage or crack.
3. Check connector terminals for bent, corrosion or rust.
4. Check sensor for resistance using specified digital meter.

Sensor resistance: 8.36 - 8.54 kOhm
