Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair




Removal
1. Disconnect negative cable from battery.
2. Disconnect connector from CMP sensor.
3. Remove CMP sensor from sensor case.




Installation
1. Check that O-ring is free from damage.
2. Check that CMP sensor and signal rotor tooth are free from any metal particles and damage.
3. Install CMP sensor to sensor case.

Tightening Torque
(a): 9 Nm (0.9 kg.m, 6.5 lb.ft)

4. Connect connector to it securely.
5. Connect negative cable to battery.
