Fast Idle: On-Vehicle Inspection
1. Check that throttle valve lever moves smoothly.





2. Measure plunger (1) protrusion "a" of fast idle control arm (2) at engine coolant temperature is 25°C (77°F).
Plunger protrusion "a": 26.6 - 27.4 mm (1.047 - 1.079 inch)





3. Warm up engine and check to make sure that fast control cam is off cam follower lever (1) at engine coolant temperature is 52 - 68°C (126 - 154°F).
If check result in Step 2) or 3) is out of specification, replace throttle body assembly.
