Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Testing and Inspection

Stop Lamp Switch with Brake Pedal Position Switch Inspection

1. Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
2. Disconnect stop lamp switch connector.




3. Remove stop lamp switch (1) from pedal bracket (2) as follows.
a. Turn stop lamp switch (1) counter clockwise.
b. Pull up stop lamp switch (1).

4. Check switch referring to Brake Light Switch Inspection.
5. Install stop lamp switch and adjust its position referring to Stop Light Switch Adjustment.
