EGR Valve Removal and Installation

Removal

1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Remove engine cover referring to Engine Cover Removal and Installation.
3) Disconnect EGR valve coupler.
4) Remove EGR valve (1) and gasket (2) from intake manifold (3).

Installation

EGR Valve Inspection

Reverse removal procedure noting the following.

- Clean mating surface of valve and intake manifold (3).
- Use new gasket (2).
