Horn: Service and Repair

HORNS REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Remove the bolt and the horn. (Left horn shown, right horn similar, if equipped.)





Installation

CAUTION: Dissimilar metals in direct contact with each other may corrode rapidly. Make sure to use the correct fasteners to prevent premature corrosion.

1. Install the horn with the bolt.

Tighten: Tighten the horn bolt to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.). (Left horn shown, right horn similar, if equipped.)

2. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
