Blower Motor: Service and Repair

BLOWER MOTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Reference: Blower Unit and Heater Unit Components

Removal
1. Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
2. Disable air bag system referring to Disabling Air Bag System:Advanced Air Bag or Disabling Air Bag System:Except Advanced Air Bag.
3. Disconnect blower motor lead wire (2) at coupler.




4. Remove blower motor (1) from HVAC unit.

Installation
Reference: Blower Motor Inspection
1. Reverse removal procedure for installation.
2. Enable air bag system referring to Enabling Air Bag System:Advanced Air Bag or Enabling Air Bag System:Except Advanced Air Bag.
