Expansion Valve Removal And InstallationRemoval
1. Recover refrigerant from A/C system referring to "Recovery" in Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge.
2. Remove liquid pipe bolt (1), and then remove liquid pipe (3) and suction hose (4) from expansion valve (2).
3. Remove expansion valve bolts (5), and then remove expansion valve.
Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.
- Apply specified compressor oil to new O-ring of expansion valve and pipes.
: Compressor oil 99000-99022-00E (Compressor oil (DH-PS, 250cc))
- Tighten expansion valve bolts and liquid pipe bolt to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Expansion valve bolt: 3.2 N.m (0.33 kg-m, 2.5 lbf-ft)
Liquid pipe bolt: 12 N.m (1.2 kg-m, 9.0 lbf-ft)
- Evacuate and charge A/C system referring to "Evacuation" and "Charge" in Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge.
