Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

Condenser Assembly Removal And Installation

CAUTION:
- Do not damage condenser fins. If condenser fin is bent, straighten it by using flat-end screwdriver or pair of pliers.
- When removing or installing condenser, do not damage radiator fins.

Removal
1. Recover refrigerant from A/C system referring to "Recovery" in Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge.
2. Remove front bumper.
3. Remove right side headlight holder.
4. Remove discharge hose bolt (2) and liquid pipe bolt (1), and then disconnect discharge hose (4) and liquid pipe (3) from condenser assembly (5).
5. Remove condenser assembly mounting bolts (6).






6. Remove condenser assembly upward

Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.
- Replenish A/C compressor with specified amount of oil from suction side referring to "Replenishing Compressor Oil" in Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge.
- Evacuate and charge A/C system referring to "Evacuation" and "Charge" in Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge.
