Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Removal and InstallationRemoval
WARNING: To avoid danger of being burned, do not touch exhaust system when system is hot. HO2S removal should be performed when system is cool.
1. Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2. Hoist vehicle.
3. Disconnect HO2S connector (1) and remove its bracket.
4. Remove exhaust No.1 pipe (2).
5. Remove HO2S (3) from exhaust No.1 pipe.
Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following.
- Tighten HO2S (3) to specified torque.
Tightening torque
HO2S (a): 45 N.m (4.5 kg-m, 32.5 lbf-ft)
