Both Side Headlamps (LO) Are Not Turned On

Description

The headlamps (both sides) do not turn ON in any combination switch (lighting and turn signal switch) setting.

Diagnosis Procedure

1. COMBINATION SWITCH (LIGHTING AND TURN SIGNAL SWITCH) INSPECTION

Check the combination switch (lighting and turn signal switch). Refer to [Combination Switch System Symptoms: Symptom Table] Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures.

Is the combination switch (lighting and turn signal switch) normal?
YES
GO TO 2.
NO
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.

2. CHECK HEADLAMP (LO) REQUEST SIGNAL INPUT

WITH SDT data list
1 Select "HL LO REQ" of IPDM E/R data list item.
2 With operating the combination switch (lighting and turn signal switch), check the monitor status.






Is the item status normal?
YES
GO TO 3.
NO
Replace BCM. Refer to [BCM: Removal and Installation] Removal and Replacement.

3. HEADLAMP (LO) CIRCUIT INSPECTION

Check the headlamp (LO) circuit. Refer to [Headlamp (LO) Circuit Check] Headlamp (LO) Circuit Check.

Is the headlamp (LO) circuit normal?
YES
Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to [IPDM E/R: Removal and Installation of IPDM E/R] Service and Repair.
NO
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
