Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

APP (Accelerator Pedal Position) Sensor On-Vehicle Inspection

1) Check that accelerator pedal assembly (incorporating APP sensor) has been mounted to vehicle body properly (no pinched floor carpet, etc.).

Reinstall accelerator pedal assembly (incorporating APP sensor) if it is not properly mounted.
2) Turn OFF ignition switch and connect scan tool to DLC.
3) Display "Data List" mode.
4) Check that voltage varies depending on accelerator position as the following graph.

If faulty condition is found, check the following.
- Wire harness and connections
- APP sensor: APP (Accelerator Pedal Position) Sensor Inspection
