Generator Removal and Installation

Removal

1) Disconnect negative (-) cable from battery.
2) Remove engine cover.
3) Remove accessory drive belt. Removal and Installation
4) Remove air cleaner assembly. Air Cleaner Assembly Removal and Installation
5) Disconnect "B" terminal wire (1) and connector (2) from generator (3).
6) Remove generator (3).





Installation

Generator Inspection

Reverse removal procedure noting the following point.

- Tighten generator bolt and "B" terminal wire nut to specified torque.

Tightening torque
Generator bolt (b): 55 Nm (5.6 kgf-m, 40.5 lbf-ft)
"B" terminal wire nut (a): 11 Nm (1.1 kgf-m, 8.5 lbf-ft)
