Transfer Warning

WARNING:

If a 2-wheel chassis dynamometer or speedometer tester (of which tester roller is driven by vehicle wheels) is used to test this full-time 4WD vehicle as it is, the vehicle will jump out from the tester, causing serious personal injury.

To perform a test using a 2-wheel chassis dynamometer or speedometer tester, make the vehicle to front-wheel-drive or rear-wheel-drive condition temporarily in accordance with the following procedure.

1) Remove front propeller shaft or rear propeller shaft referring to Propeller Shaft Removal and Installation Propeller Shaft Removal and Installation.
2) Shift transfer to 4H-lock position as follows.
- Non-shift type (Transfer without shift actuator)
- Remove lever bolt (1) on transfer, push down lever to 4H-lock position (2) and fix lever with bolt.





- Motor-shift type (Transfer with shift actuator)
- Shift transfer to 4H-lock position by turning transfer switch.
