Cruise Control Switch: Service and Repair

Cruise Control Switch Inspection

1) Remove driver air bag (inflator) module. Removal and Installation
2) Disconnect cruise control switch connector (1) from contact coil.
3) Check resistance between "G165-5" and "G165-6" terminals under each condition below.

If check result is not as specified, replace steering wheel.

Cruise control switch resistance
All switches released (OFF): 1920.6 - 2039.4 ohms
MAIN (ON/OFF) switch (2) pressed (ON): Less than 1 ohms
CANCEL switch (3) pressed (ON): 97 - 103 ohms
SET/COAST switch (4) pressed (ON): 378.3 - 401.7 ohms
RES/ACC switch (5) pressed (ON): 756.6 - 803.4 ohms
