Condenser Assembly Removal and Installation

NOTE:

Condenser and radiator fins can easily be bent during removal of the condenser assembly.

Remove the condenser assembly carefully so as not to damage the condenser and radiator fins. If any of them is bent, straighten it using a flat head screwdriver or a pair of pliers.

Removal

1) Recover refrigerant from A/C system referring to "Recovery" in Service and Repair Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge.
2) Remove front bumper. Service and Repair
3) Remove right side headlight holder. Removal and Replacement
4) Remove discharge hose bolt (2) and liquid pipe bolt (1), and then disconnect discharge hose (4) and liquid pipe (3) from condenser assembly (5).
5) Remove condenser assembly mounting bolts (6).





6) Remove condenser assembly upward.

Installation

Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.

- Replenish A/C compressor with specified amount of oil from suction side referring to "Replenishing Compressor Oil" in Service and Repair Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge.
- Evacuate and charge A/C system referring to "Evacuation" and "Charge" in Service and Repair Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge.
