Component Tests and General Diagnostics







1. Master switch:
INSPECT DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK CONTROL SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.







2. INSPECT PASSENGER'S DOOR LOCK CONTROL SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.







3. INSPECT DOOR KEY LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.







4. INSPECT DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

5. INSPECT DOOR KEY LOCK MOTOR OPERATION




a. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, and check that the door lock link moves to UNLOCK position.




b. Reverse the polarity and check that the door lock link moves to LOCK position.
If operation is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.




6. Door lock signal:
INSPECT DOOR LOCK CONTROL OPERATION
a. Disconnect the connector from the junction block No.1.
b. Connect the positive (+) lead from the voltmeter to terminal 9 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 8.
c. Set the door lock control switch to UNLOCK, check that the voltage rises from 0 V t0 battery positive voltage for approximately 0.25 seconds.
d. Remove the polarity to voltmeter leads.
e. Set the door lock control switch to LOCK,check that the voltage rises from 0 V to battery positive voltage for approximately 0.25 seconds.

7. INSPECT INTEGRATION RELAY CIRCUIT







a. Disconnect the connector from the integration relay and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown in the chart.







b. Disconnect the connector from integration relay and remove the front cover on the junction block, as show in the chart.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the driver side junction block.
