ABS Diagnosis System

In case of using TOYOTA hand-held tester:





Check the DTC.
1. Hook up the TOYOTA hand-held tester to the DLC 3.
2. Start the engine.
3. Drive the vehicle straight forward.

HINT:
- Drive the vehicle faster than 45Km/h (28 mph) for several seconds.

4. Stop the vehicle.
5. Read the DTC by following the prompts on the tester screen.

- Please refer to the TOYOTA hand-held tester operator's manual for further details.







HINT:
- Using SST 09643-18020, connect the terminals Tc and E1, and remove the short pin.
- If any abnormality is not found when inspecting parts, inspect the ECU.
- If a malfunction code is displayed during the DTC check, check the circuit listed for that code. For details of each code, go to the respective "DTC No." in the DTC chart. HINT: There is a case that TOYOTA hand-held tester cannot be used when ABS warning light always ON.
