INTRODUCTION:
Some 2000 - 2002 model year Tundra trucks (2UZ FE) and 2001 - 2002 Sequoia vehicles may exhibit an engine "no start" condition. This may be caused by an inoperative fuel pump and/or blown EFI fuse. The Fuel Pump Assembly and Pick up Sock have been improved to correct this condition.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2000 - 2002 model year Tundra vehicles with 2UZ-FE engines produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown below.
- 2001 - 2002 model year Sequoia vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
Refer to the appropriate Repair Manual and Electrical Wiring Diagram (EWD) publication to confirm the inoperative fuel pump and/or blown EFI fuse before replacing any components.

Once confirmed, use the following procedures to install the appropriate Fuel Pump Kit.

For Tundra:






Using the supplied parts, assemble the Fuel Pump, Pick-up Sock and Fuel Pump Hose and install it on the existing Suction Plate/Bracket.

For Sequoia:






Using the supplied parts, assemble the Fuel Pump, Pick-up Sock and Fuel Pump Hose and longer wire harness. Install the assembly on the existing Suction Plate/Bracket.
