Introduction
Some 2000 - 2002 model year Tundra trucks (2UZ-FE) and 2001 - 2002 Sequoia vehicles may exhibit an engine "no start" condition. This may be caused by an inoperative fuel pump and/or blown EFI fuse. The Fuel Pump Assembly and Pick-up Sock have been improved to correct this condition.
Applicable Vehicles
^ 2000 - 2002 model year Tundra trucks with 2UZ-FE engines produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown below.
^ 2001 - 2002 model year Sequoia vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown below.

Warranty Information
Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Powertrain Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
Repair Procedure
Refer to the appropriate Repair Manual and Electrical Wiring Diagram (EWD) publication to confirm the inoperative fuel pump and/or blown EFI fuse before replacing any components.
Once confirmed, use the following procedures to install the appropriate Fuel Pump Kit.
For Tundra:
Using the supplied parts, assemble the Fuel Pump, Pick-up Sock and Fuel Pump Hose and install it on the existing Suction Plate/Bracket.
For Sequoia:
Using the supplied parts, assemble the Fuel Pump, Pick-up Sock and Fuel Pump Hose and longer wire harness. Install the assembly on the existing Suction Plate/Bracket.
