DTC C1360/61 - Malfunction in Comparative Master Cylinder Pressure Sensor

DTC C1281/81 - Master Cylinder Pressure Sensor Output Malfunction (Test Mode DTC)

DESCRIPTION

The master cylinder pressure sensor is built into the VSC actuator.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTE: When replacing the VSC actuator assembly, perform the zero point calibration Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK BRAKE PEDAL
(a) Check if the brake pedal is spongy.
OK:
The brake pedal is normal.

NG -- BLEED AIR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. PERFORM TEST MODE PROCEDURE (MASTER CYLINDER PRESSURE SENSOR)
(a) Perform the test mode procedure Test Mode Procedure.
(b) Check if the test mode procedure (master cylinder pressure sensor) is finished successfully.

B -- REPLACE VSC ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
A -- Continue to next step.

3. REPLACE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Replace the brake booster Removal.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Turn the ignition switch off.
(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and check if the same DTC is stored in the memory Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
