Repair and Diagnosis: Application and ID

To determine the correct part number needed, it may be necessary to know the production date, model number, and engine number.





The production date, model number and engine number can be found on the identification plate or label located as noted below.
^ On the passenger Cars, Trucks and Land Cruisers, the I.D. Plate is located on or adjacent to the firewall within the engine compartment
^ On Vans, the Plate is located on the body, under a carpet flap directly below the front of the front passenger seat.





To determine year of vehicle production, locate the production date plate attached to the driver's door jamb.
