Evaporator Core: Service and Repair


1. Disconnect battery ground cable and discharge A/C system.
2. Disconnect refrigerant lines at inlet and outlet tubes of evaporator. Remove grommets.
3. On all models with A/C mounted under dash, remove under tray and glove box.
4. Disconnect all connectors, control wires (if equipped) and air duct bands from evaporator.
5. Remove evaporator attaching bolts and remove evaporator.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Evacuate and recharge system. Check for leaks.

NOTE: If new evaporator is installed, add 1.4-1.7 oz. of refrigeration oil into compressor.
