Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Testing and Inspection

1. Drain coolant.
2. Remove switch from intake manifold.
3. Cool thermo switch to below 109°F.
4. Ensure continuity between switch terminal and switch body.
5. Submerge switch in hot water and heat to above 131°F.
6. Ensure that no continuity exists between switch terminal and switch body.
7. If test results are unsatisfactory, replace thermo switch.
8. Apply suitable sealer to switch threads and install switch.
9. Fill radiator with coolant.
