Fig. 7 Front suspension components. Starlet:

1. Raise front and vehicle and support by frame members, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
2. Disconnect bolts securing steering knuckle arm to shock absorber, then push lower suspension arm down to disconnect lower arm.
3. Disconnect tie rod end from steering knuckle.
4. Disconnect strut bar (if equipped) and stabilizer bar from lower suspension arm, Fig. 7.
5. Remove bolt and nut securing lower suspension arm to crossmember, then remove arm.
6. Remove cotter pin and nut securing knuckle arm to ball joint, then using a suitable press, remove knuckle arm.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
