1. Stop engine and remove the air cleaner.
2. Plug off hoses as necessary to prevent vacuum leaks.
3.D isconnect the hose from the TVSV M port and then plug the port, Fig. 71. This will disable the EGR and choke opener system.
4. Set the fast idle cam by holding the throttle slightly open, pushing the choke valve fully closed and releasing the throttle valve, Fig. 72.
5. Start the engine without depressing the accelerator pedal.
6. Set the fast idle speed to 3000 RPM by turning adjusting screw, Fig. 72.
