Differential Axle Housing: Service and Repair

Differential Case, Replace (A132L)

Removal
1. Remove neutral start switch, then the speedometer driven gear.
2. Remove governor body, then the oil pan.
3. Remove valve body, then the 11 transaxle rear cover attaching bolts. Tap cover from case using a suitable mallet.
4. Remove intermediate shaft, then the parking lock pawl bracket and rod.
5. Remove parking lock pawl, then the manual shaft and lever.
6. Remove manual shaft and lever, then the governor pressure adapter.
7. Remove carrier cover.

Installation
1. Install governor pressure adapter, then the manual shaft and lever.
2. Install parking lock pawl.
3. Install parking lock rod, then the bracket.
4. Install intermediate shaft.
5. Install transaxle rear cover with new gasket, then insert retaining bolts and torque to 18 ft. lbs.
6. Install valve body, then the governor body.
7. Install oil pan.
8. Install speedometer driven gear, then the neutral start switch.
