Campaign - Igniter Inspection: Overview

TO: All Toyota Dealers and Service Managers

RE: 1983/1984 Camry and 1984 Van/Cargo Van Igniter Campaign (SSC # 608)


Toyota will conduct a Special Service Campaign on 1983/1984 Camry and 1984 Vans to inspect, and if necessary, replace the igniter sub-assembly.

Known owners of these vehicles will be notified by mail on August 15, 1986. Most customers will bring their owner notification with them. However, if a customer brings their vehicle to you without a notification letter and it falls within the VIN ranges listed below, please perform the repair according to the attached instructions.
