II. & III. Igniter Inspection Procedure

1. Check that ignition key is in the OFF position.

FRONT PASSENGER SEAT ASSEMBLY:

2. Remove the front passenger seat assembly.


3. Remove the inner seat belt of the front passenger seat.


4. Tilt steering wheel up, 5. Lift driver's seat and secure.


6. Open the No. 1 engine cover

M/T: Remove shift lever knob

7. Remove console box assembly


8. Disconnect the parking brake switch wire.

A/T: Disconnect ATM indicator lamp wire and transmission relay.

TWO CABLE CLAMPS:

9. Remove the two cable clamps as illustrated.
10. Lift the center floor carpet.


11. Lift the No. 2 engine cover to access the distributor.

IGNITER:

III. IGNITER INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the green wire connector from the distributor assembly.


2. Disconnect the spark plug wires at the spark plugs.

CAUTION:
Be careful not to drop the screws or nuts in the distributor.


Do not pull excessively on the wires or connectors.


3. Remove the distributor cap.


4. Check igniter identification marks.
