Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Testing and Inspection

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION









MEASURE RESISTANCE OF AIR FLOW METER
(a) Unplug the wiring connector from the air flow meter.
(b) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between each terminal.





If not within specification, replace the air flow meter.

INSPECTION OF AIR FLOW METER (REMOVED)








MEASURE RESISTANCE OF AIR FLOW METER





Move the measuring plate and, using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between each terminal.

NOTE: Resistance between terminals E2 and Vs will change in a wave pattern as the measuring plate slowly opens.
