1. Ensure that throttle body is in satisfactory operating condition and that throttle valve closes fully.
2. Disconnect electrical connector from throttle position switch.
3. Insert gauge block between lever and stop screw, Fig. 61 and attach Ohmmeter as shown.
4. Verify results of test in table, Fig. 62.
5. If switch continuity is not as outlined, adjust switch by loosening set screws and rotating switch until desired results are obtained.
6. If switch still fails to perform as outlined, switch is defective.
