Campaign - Igniter May Cause No Start: Overview

RE: 1983/1984 TERCEL AND COROLLA IGNITER CAMPAIGN (SSC #606)


Toyota has decided to conduct a special service campaign on 1983/1984 Tercel and Corolla models to inspect and, if necessary, replace the igniter sub-assembly. This unit provides the on/off switching of the electrical energy to the spark plugs and may malfunction on some of the vehicles resulting in failure to start the engine. Known owners of these vehicles will be notified by mail on May 29, 1986.
