Compressor Clutch: Testing and Inspection

1. Inspect clutch pressure plate for signs of oil, damage or scoring.
2. Check clutch pulley and bearings for damage, distortion and lubricant leakage.
3. Disconnect electrical connector to clutch coil and check resistance between coil lead wire terminal and ground. Resistance should be 3.4 - 3.9 ohms at 68°F (20°C).
4. If not as specified, replace coil.
