Fuel System

1. The fuel system is maintained under constant pressure. Observe the following whenever the fuel system must be opened:
a. Place a suitable container under the connection to be opened.
b. Slowly open connection, allow pressure to escape, and catch spilled fuel in container.
c. Disconnect line or hose, then plug all open fittings.
2. Always use new gaskets or O-rings when installing fuel lines or injectors.
3. Lightly lubricate O-rings and flare connections with gasoline. Do not use engine oil, gear lubricant or brake fluid.
4. After servicing fuel system, check for leaks and correct as needed.
