Condenser Fan: Testing and Inspection
Testing Condenser Fan Motor:
TESTING PROCEDURE - Disconnect fan motor connector.
- Apply battery voltage to the connector.
- Using a variable resistor, change the motor speed to verify smoothness and current draw. Current draw should not exceed 7.4 Amps at 2400 - 3000 rpm.
- If the motor is not smooth or the current draw is out of specification, replace the motor.
