Throttle Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1C-TL & 2C-T Engines

1. Disconnect electrical connector from throttle position sensor.
2. Measure resistance between connector terminals Vc and E2, Fig. 36. Resistance should measure 3-7 ohms at 68°F.
3. Ensure resistance between connector terminals E2 and that below Vc decreases as throttle lever is moved from closed to open position.
4. Replace sensor if operation is not as described.
