Compressor And Mounting Assembly:







REMOVAL
1. Run engine at idle with air conditioning on for 10 minutes.
2. Stop the engine.
3. Disconnect negative cable from battery.
4. Disconnect connector for magnetic clutch.
5. Recover refrigerant from refrigeration system.
6. Disconnect the two hoses from compressor charging valves. Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture out of the system.
7. Loosen the drive belt. Remove the compressor mounting bolts and the compressor.

INSTALLATION
1. Install compressor with mounting bolts.

Torque: 27 Nm (20ft-lb)

2. Install drive belt.
3. Tighten the belt with adjusting bolts.
4. Using a belt tension gauge, check the drive belt tension.

Belt Tension: New belt 100-150 lb, Used belt 60-100 lb

NOTE: "New belt" refers to a belt which has been used less than 5 minutes on a running engine."Used belt" refers to a belt which has been used on a running engine for 5 minutes or more.

5. Connect the two hoses to the compressor charging valves.

Torque: Discharge line: 22 Nm (16 ft-lb)
Suction line: 32 Nm (24 ft-lb)


6. Connect each lead wire to wiring harness.
7. Connect negative cable to battery.
8. Evacuate air from air conditioning system.
9. Charge air conditioning system with refrigerant and check on gas leakage.

Specified amount: 650-750 g (1.4-1.7 lb)
