Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Testing and Inspection





ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

INSPECT RESISTANCE OF AIR FLOW METER
(a) Disconnect the air flow meter connector.











(b) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between each terminal.
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the air flow meter.
(c) Reconnect the air flow meter connector.

INSPECT RESISTANCE OF AIR FLOW METER
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between each terminal by moving the measuring plate.

NOTE: Resistance between terminals E2 and VS will change in accordance with the measuring plate opening. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the meter.
