Engine Code Explanation

VIN Number Locations:

The vehicle identification number is stamped on the cowl panel, the manufacturer's plate, vehicle identification number plate and certification regulation plate.

Engine I.D. Number Location:

The engine identification code is stamped on the engine block.

ENGINE CODE EXPLANATION:

1st Digit - Engine generation code
2nd Letter - Engine model code (VIN)
Following Dash: C - USA Spec. engines
E - Fuel injection
F - Twin camshafts
G - Twin camshafts
L - Transverse engine
T - Turbocharged
Z - Supercharged
