Heater Core: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove lower instrument panel safety pad.
3. Remove cooling unit, refer to EVAPORATOR CORE.
4. Drain coolant, then disconnect water hoses from radiator pipes.
5. Remove pipe grommets.
6. Remove A/C control assembly.
7. Remove heater to register center duct attaching screws, then remove.
8. Remove instrument panel lower reinforcements brace Nos. 1 and 2.
9. Remove heater unit electrical connectors and attaching bolts, then remove unit.
10. Remove heater core two attaching screws and plates, then remove.
11. Reverse procedure to install.
