Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

NOTE:

Do not use excessive force to remove the oxygen sensor, especially when the exhaust system is cold. Damage to the pipe may result.

PROCEDURE:

1. Disconnect oxygen sensor electrical connector.
2. Apply a suitable non-silicone penetrating oil the the hold-down nuts and allow to stand.
3. Loosen and remove mounting nuts.
4. Apply anti-seize compound to mounting studs.
5. Install new sensor and nuts.
6. Reconnect electrical connector.
