Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL




1. Disconnect negative (-) terminal cable from battery.

CAUTION: Work must be started after 90 seconds from the time the ignition switch is turned to the LOCK position and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.





2. Remove air cleaner hose.
^ Disconnect the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose.
^ Loosen the 2 hose clamps. and remove the air cleaner hose.





3. Remove the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Meter.
^ Disconnect the MAF Meter connector.
^ Remove the 2 bolts and MAF Meter.

INSTALLATION

1. Install MAF Meter
^ Insert the MAF Meter end into the air cleaner case.
^ Secure the MAF Meter with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 6.9 Nm (61 in lb)

^ Connect the MAF Meter connector.
2. Install Air Cleaner Hose
^ Install the air cleaner hose with the 2 hose clamps.
^ Connect the PCV hose.
