Inspection Procedure Using OBDII Scan Tool

PROCEDURE
3. Check voltage between terminal ACT of Engine Control Module and body ground.
^ Remove glove compartment. Start the engine.





^ Measure voltage between terminal ACT of Engine Control Module connector and body ground when A/C switch is turned to ON and OFF.

A/C switch ON: 4.5 - 5.5 volts
A/C switch OFF: 0.0 - 2.0 volts

^ If not OK proceed to step 2.
^ If OK check and replace Engine Control Module.
2. Check for open and short in harness and connector between Engine Control Module and A/C amplifier.
^ If OK check and replace A/C amplifier.
^ If not OK repair or replace harness or connector.
