Camshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

View Of Distributor Connector:

Check resistance between terminals 1 (G-) and 2 (G+) of the Distributor connector.

COLD: 185 - 275 ohms
HOT: 240 - 325 ohms

Checking Pickup Coils (Sensors) Air Gap:

Check the air gap between the G pick-up coil and the single projection rotor.

Air Gap: 0.2 - 0.4 mm (0.008 - 0.0016 in)

If any of the measured values do not match specifications, replace the Distributor housing assembly.
