Removal
1. Disarm airbag system as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
2. Position front wheels in straight-ahead position.
3. Remove steering wheel lower covers.
4. Using a suitable Torx socket wrench, loosen Torx screws until screw circumference grooves catch screw case, Fig. 34.
5. Pull steering pad rearward, then disconnect air bag electrical connector.
6. Remove air bag module and store with pad facing upward.

Installation
1. Connect air bag electrical connector.
2. Ensure Torx screw circumference grooves are caught in screw case, then install air bag module.
3. Ensure wiring does not interfere with other parts and is not pinched, then tighten mounting screws to specifications.
4. Install steering wheel lower covers.
5. Ensure steering wheel is centered.
6. Arm airbag system as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
