Heater Core: Service and Repair

WARNING: DO NOT PERFORM THIS OPERATION ON A HOT ENGINE, TO AVOID BEING BURNED BY STEAM OR HOT COOLANT. WAIT UNTIL THE CAR HAS COOLED DOWN SUFFICIENTLY.
1. Drain engine coolant into a suitable container.
2. Remove instrument panel as outlined under Instrument Panel, Service and Repair.
3. Remove water valve control cable guide, Fig. 1.
4. Remove three heater core clamps.
5. Pull heater core to the left and remove from vehicle.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
